Muirkirk Heritage Layby
Among the people commemorated are John Loudon MacAdam, local poets, miners, Tibbie Pagan, and the Covenanters. A notice boards provide information and a cairn commemorates the local Covenanter martyrs.
In the layby you may find the The Pitheid Snack Van which serves hot and cold snacks. Open six days a week, 7-3, Monday to Saturday. Reputedly the best breakfast in East Ayrshire! - but this website could not possibly comment ! |
