Around the River of Ayr

The River of Ayr is a trout stream, kept regularly stocked by the fishers of the area, which passes through Muirkirk and surrounds on the way to the Firth of Clyde.

A CD-rom "Around the River Ayr" is available which shows the river from it's source at Glenbuck Loch, meandering through Muirkirk and the many other places it touches on it's way to Ayr.

The CD-rom presentation is a personal perspective on the river, is strong on local history and includes photographs, music, stories and verse.
